Review of Radiance Perfume by Britney Spears

Radiance by Britney Spears

When I was offered the opportunity to test out a perfume from The Perfume Shop I was really happy. I love perfumes but my sister loves them even more! So I let her choose the perfume she would like on the condition that she would review it for me and tell me her opinions. She asked the lovely people at The Perfume Shop to send her a celebrity perfume and they picked the new perfume by Britney Spears called ‘Radiance’ for her. The lady chose it for her because she thought my sister would like the bottle. Unfortunately my sister isn’t that keen on the bottle design but I think it is really pretty! What do you think? It’s certainly better than a boring plain glass one and it will look really posh sitting on your dressing table. It makes the perfume look expensive which is great if you are buying this as a gift.   The glass atomiser bottle is adorned with a raised gem like pattern in lovely hues of pink and blue and the lid is embellished with a blue gem shape. Take a look at the photo above to see for yourself what the bottle looks like. My description doesn’t do it justice.

Packaging of Radiance by Britney Spears
‘Radiance’ comes in a silver box with a pink cardboard lining. The box has a matching gem style design on it to reflect the design of the bottle.
The perfume was released in late October 2010 and it joins the other perfumes in the collection by Britney Spears … Circus Fantasy, Hidden Fantasy, Believe, Curious, Fantasy and Midnight Fantasy.
The perfume is described as a ‘brilliant white floral’ and it is said to ’embody Britney’s “confident and alluring persona”. In my sister’s words it is ‘fruity’ and ‘sweet’. She describes it as being a summery fragrance and she says the fragrance lasts all day. She hasn’t had any adverse reactions to wearing it even though she has sensitive skin. She does warn you that it does sting if you get it in your eyes…but I’m sure you will all know that 🙂  You would have thought she would know that too…but she got it in her eyes by accident. In the excitement of receiving the perfume and opening the packaging she took the lid off and sprayed it the wrong way…straight into her eyes. Ouch! Let this be a lesson to you all….if you choose to purchase this perfume, take a minute to appreciate the bedazzling packaging and then carefully remove the lid, check which way you are spraying and spritz away.
My sister says if she saw Radiance in a shop she would not buy the perfume based on the appearance of the bottle but she would buy it based on the packaging and of course the fragrance.  All of her friends liked the scent and so do I.
Here is how the the website describes the fragrance.

Luscious berries and dewy petals unfold to reveal a radiant heart of luminous pure white flowers, lit from within by the glow of precious amber, woods and sexy musk.

The scent opens on notes of wild berries and petals, witha floral heart of Tuberose, Jasmine, Orange Flower and Iris. The base blends Cashmere Woods, Amber and Musk making Radiance a beautifully feminine perfume.

You can buy Radiance from The Perfume Shop in 3 different EDP sizes. 30ml is £22.50, 50ml is £28.50 and 100ml is £37.50.  It always scares me how much perfume costs but it does last a long time and personally I never buy myself perfume. I always convince someone else to buy it for me as a gift. Therefore it is not me having to pay out the money anyway.
Mother’s Day is on 3rd April this year so maybe your Mum, Mother-In-Law or Nan would like to receive this as a gift. If you are a man reading this review, then you could even buy this for your Wife on behalf of your kids.
