Review of the fantastic CarPET – Pet Hair Remover.

My parents have a dog and my mum is gradually being driven crazy from the sheer quantity of dog hairs over EVERYTHING! Clothes, carpet, in the caravan, you name it…dog hairs miraculously manage to get on it! I’m sure if you have a pet, especially a dog you will know what I’m talking about. You can say goodbye to black clothes…the minute you go near our dog they turn speckled with white dog hairs!

When Fuel My Blog advertised for bloggers to road-test the ‘CarPET – pet hair remover’ I just knew my mum would want to be first in the line. She was therefore delighted when they picked ‘My Mummy Reviews’ to be one of the lucky few to receive a CarPET to review.

The CarPet is not expensive at only £5.95 with a P+P charge of £2.50 but it is one of those products that you put off buying in case you then later find out it doesn’t work! Well…let me tell you…this product does actually work! My mum has never been so happy to know that she can now remove dog hairs from her things. Whether it is a piece of clothing or the sofa! The product is a squarish hollow tube with a rubbery outer cover which has lots of short rubbery spikes. You just wipe the ‘CarPET’ over the scattered dog or pet hairs and hey presto it pushes them magically into a pile so you can pick them up or brush them off.  My mum most likes the fact it has got dog hairs quickly off of her woolen cardigans as she can now wear them to work minus the unsightly dog hairs. Before she had the CarPET she had to get out the roll of sticky tape and press tape all over the cardigan to get off the dog hairs. This was time-consuming and fiddley. She also can’t wait to stay in their caravan again as she knows she will find the CarPET useful to clean up the sofa and bed cushions.  My parents always try to put covers on chairs, etc that the dog sits on but as he is a big dog he can just scratch at them and pull them off.

My mum would definitely recommend you give this product a go…it worked with the hairs from their dog and so hopefully it will work with the hairs from your pet too. My mum found the product to be quick and easy to use and she says that it is ergonomically shaped and much easier for her to use with her arthritic hands than other pet hair removers she has tried. There is a video on You Tube that shows the CarPET in use, if you would like to see it please click here.
I would like to see the CarPET more widely available and not just online and in mail order catalogues. I know it takes time for the likes of Tesco , etc to start stocking a product , but I would love to see it on the shelves of a big supermarket like that. If this hadn’t been sent to us for review then we would never have known it existed….which would have been a great shame as it will make our life with a dog a little bit easier. If it was available on the high street there would be more chance of people seeing it for sale and buying it.

If you would like to visit the website ‘besteverpethairremover’ to purchase your own CarPET please click here. If you purchase it from the above website it says that a percentage of all profits from individual sales is donated to the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution).
The CarPET is made by a company called Wicked or What and they also make a couple more innovative products, the Tide Clock and the Petometer.
