Review of Miracle Bag’s ‘Baby Essentials Organiser’ for your changing bag…It really is essential!

Back in April I reviewed the City Range- Red Spot Changing Bag by Miracle Bag and I absolutely loved the bag!! It is by far the best bag I own! It is much more than a changing bag…It is perfect as a hand luggage bag , an overnight bag, a swimming bag, etc. I was very impressed with the quantity of pockets and also the available space in the red spot bag. You can read the full review here.

The kind people at Miracle Bag also sent me a ‘Baby Essentials Organiser’ to use with my changing bag. I am very impressed with the organiser as it is a way of keeping me organised! I mentioned in my review of the Red Spot changing bag that being organised is not in my nature but a lot of my organisation of re-filling the bag with essentials is down to the fact I am using the ‘Baby Essentials Organiser’ .

In my opinion, the Baby Essentials Organiser is not cheap at £19.99 but I would say that it is worth the money if you don’t wish to invest in a changing bag but instead want to opt to use a normal handbag.  I really love the product but I feel that close to £20 is a lot of money to pay in addition to a changing bag. I would probably pay around £10 -£12 in addition to my changing bag as it really does help me keep my changing bag organised.

My suggestion to Miracle Bag would be to also start selling the ‘organiser’ on it’s own without the bottle bag and changing mat as this would then hopefully bring the price down but better than that people who already have a changing bag with bottle bag and changing mat would then consider buying the organiser when they otherwise may have decided they didn’t need it …..when in fact they do! 🙂

The Baby Essentials Organiser set is waterproof and comes with a thin but perfectly adequate changing mat, a thermal insulated bottle bag and an essentials organiser. It is available in 10 different colours and the dandelion print matches the interior lining of my Red Spot changing bag and the rest of the bags in the City Range. I opted for the red version of the organiser so that it matched my Red Spot bag but my other favourite colour is the pink organiser as it is so vibrant and girly.

The organiser has 4 internal compartments and 4 exterior slip pockets. The top of the bag fastens with a drawstring which allows you to keep your items securely in the bag. This will hopefully prevent you losing essential items when you are transferring the organiser from bag to bag. The drawstring bottle bag has a thermal lining to keep your child’s bottle or drink bottle either cool or hot and the changing mat folds up really small so it takes up a very tiny amount of space in your organiser or changing bag. I opted to replace the padded changing mat that came with my Red Spot bag with this thinner mat as it is a much more compact size and takes up less room in my bag.

The bag is innovative as it allows you to pack all the baby essentials such as bottle, nappies, wipes, nappy cream, snacks, nappy bags, medicine sachets, changing mat, dummy, etc all into the organiser and then all you have to do is pop it into whichever bag you choose to use that day….be it an actual baby changing bag or just a normal handbag.  It certainly gives you an opportunity to free yourself from ‘having’ to use a particular changing bag on certain occasions. For example if you are going out for the evening or to a wedding, etc…you may want to accessorise your outfit but you feel you can’t take a normal handbag with you as you ‘need’ your usual changing bag. The Baby Essentials Organiser changes this…you could now go out and buy a co-ordinating handbag to your outfit and just make sure the Essentials Organiser will fit in it. Hey presto…instant changing bag! Miracle!

When I first received the Baby Essentials Organiser I’ll admit I didn’t really think I needed it but now that I have it filled with my daughter’s things I have realised I wouldn’t want to be without it. It makes life easier and that is very important when you have a child.  It’s a very useful product.

I have just come back from a holiday abroad and I used my Red Spot bag as my hand luggage and I had it crammed as full as I could get away with and amongst all the bits and bobs in the bag was my Baby Essentials Organiser. What I loved most was that normally when you have everything shoved in the changing bag like that it would take you ages to try and find what you are looking for…but not when I knew they were all neatly in the organiser! All the essentials for a nappy change in a convenient., handy-size bag!

The Baby Essentials Organiser would make a great gift for any mum as it is a product that they are sure to get a lot of use from. It really comes into it’s own when you are travelling. You can put all the aeroplane journey essentials in the bag and then keep it tucked next to you on your seat. Through personal experience I know how little space you get on a flight and the compact size of the Organiser with the added security of the drawstring means this will be a holiday essential not just a baby essential!
