Review of B-Organic Soothing Body Balm and Top to Toe Body wash

B-Organic Lavender and Chamomile soothing body balm
I was very kindly sent a couple of products to review from B-Organic Skincare. I received the products back at the beginning of August so I have been testing them for about 6 weeks now. The two items I received were a 60ml jar of Soothing Body Balm with Lavender & Chamomile and a 150ml pump bottle of Baby Top to Toe Wash with Lavender. All of the products from B-Organic are hand-made and free from Parabens, Ethoxylate, Propylene Glycol, Silicone, DEA and artificial colours. Just what every parent wants to read!
The Body Balm can be used all over the body and it smells lovely because of the lavender and chamomile fragrance.

The balm is made from a mixture of Organic Shea butter, Organic Apricot Kernel Oil, Vitamin E, Organic Borage Oil, Organic Rosehip Oill, Organic Lavender Oil and Organic Chamomile Roman Oil. There are absolutely no nasty chemicals in this balm and it is not only Organic but also suitable to be used by Vegans.

At first I was not too keen on the texture of the balm as it seemed very different from any other product I had ever used but after a while I got used to it. The balm rubs in fairly easily and it is not too greasy. It is absorbed quite quickly by the skin.

The B-Organic website says that “The calming and soothing effects of Lavender mixed with the skin feeding and anti-inflammatory effects of Chamomile complement each other leaving skin feeling fresh, soothed and spoilt! The nourishing and essential oils help to alleviate your skin whilst regenerating new skin cells.”

All I can say is  …WOW! It smells gorgeous and I feel a lot happier using this chemical free balm on my daughter instead of some of the usual chemical filled products available on the high street.

The balm is not cheap at £13.00 for a 60ml jar but the product is well worth the money. A little goes a very long way and it really is a wonderful product.  It is well loved by people as it is suitable for those who suffer from severe sensitive skin, Eczema, Dermatitis or skin irritations.  Thankfully my daughter has never had eczema but if you or your child do have it then you really must read all the fantastic reviews from people who have used this balm on the skin condition. They all LOVE the product and say how well it has healed the skin. You can read all those reviews from happy customers here.

The Soothing Body Balm with Lavender & Chamomile was the winner of the Editors Choice” award by TIPS and I am not at all surprised! 🙂

B-Organic Top To Toe body wash with Lavender
The top to toe body wash is just as lovely as the balm. It smells divine and it has not caused any irritation to mine or my daughter’s sensitive skin. I have used this product as a bubble bath and top to toe wash for my daughter but I have also used it as a shower gel for myself.  The 150ml bottle is much more money than I would normally consider paying for a body wash gel as it is £14.00. The main reason I would not pay this much money is because I am far too generous when applying shower gels and normally squeeze loads out of the bottle onto a sponge! But that doesn’t matter when you are using a shower gel that only costs a couple of pounds.  As this body wash is more expensive than my normal ones I chose to try and use a lot less than I normally would.

I have been using the 100% natural seaborne baby sponge that I reviewed for Tippitoes with this body wash. I’m amazed to say that the combination of the teeny amount of product and the use of the natural sponge has meant that I get loads of lovely lavender suds. I absolutely love the lavender fragrance of this body wash and if I continue to use this product with the sponge then I think the bottle should last me quite a while. Yes it is more than I would personally pay for a body wash but I don’t have any problems recommending it to you. It works well, it smells beautiful, it is Organic but most importantly it contains no nasty ingredients! This is exactly the kind of product you want to be using on your precious child’s delicate hair and skin.

Aycin is the lady behind B-Organic and she started the range of products to help combat her young daughter’s eczema and dermatitis. She had tried lots of prescription creams, bath milks and lotions but nothing helped. So she decided to try and treat the condition herself with the use of organic, natural skincare products. Aycin found that the products worked wonders and as she wanted everyone else to be able to benefit from them she decided to launch B-Organic. The company is going from strength to strength and her story and products have been featured in a lot of press.
