Quirky kid’s toys and original greeting cards from Australian company O.B Designs

When I was approached by O.B Designs to see if I would introduce you all to their lovely brand I didn’t dream of saying no. What possible reason could I have to not want to tell you all about their fabulous products?  I have had a good look through their fun and colourful website and I love the look of all the things they sell.
They did offer to post me a review product to write about but as they are an Australian based company and I am in the UK I said it would better to write this as a ‘sponosored feature’ instead of as a review. This means that instead of sending a free product for me to review O.B Designs kindly paid me some money to cover my time involved in planning, researching and writing this post.

O.B designs is an Australian company that sells all sorts of wonderful quirky products for kids. (If you were wondering, O.B Designs stands for ODBOD Designs). The company was started in 2008 by Kate and Leesa. Their dream was to create kids toys & gifts that are not only stylish, funny & unique, but also very functional.  Looking at their site, I think I can safely say they have achieved their dream! 🙂 It is nice to see that they are also trying to be an eco-friendly business by using recyclable materials whenever they can and by trying to use the minimum amounts of plastic in their packaging.

I have browsed their website and I think my favourite item on their site has to be the STUFITs toys.

Here’s a picture of the cutest one…Kev Koala:-

The STUFITs are soft toys that have a zipped mouth so your child can store things inside them, they have a carry handle so your child can always take the toy with them and they are nice and soft so your child can cuddle them.  As well as Kev Koala (who you can see in the above picture), you can also buy Marvin Mudcrab, Jack Jellyfish and Lola Ladybug.

Another popular product that O.B Designs sell is the DINGaRINGs  It is a 3 in 1 toy that features a rattle, soft body and a wooden teething ring. It is available in 8 unique characters and my favourite is Tony Tree Frog. I love the bright green colour, big red eyes and the lopsided smile. He looks so adorable.
The other characters in the range are Lulu Ladybug, Betty Butterfly, Gi Gi Galah, Emma Owl, Pete Penguin, Craig Crocodile and Kev Koala.  There are no sizes on the site but by the looks of the photos in the product descriptions, the DINGaRINGs look to be a decent size that is big enough for your child to be able to give them a nice cuddle.
The final range of soft toys that O.B Designs sell is the Heart Felt Creations. They are are a new range to the website and they look very sweet. The designs available are Trev Turtle, Karla Koala, Bazza Bee and Pippa Parrot. The toys are made from a soft felt which is brightly coloured. Each toy makes a crinkle sound and then some of them have a dingle bell sound and some have a squeaker in them. Either way your child is sure to love the intriguing noises made by the Heart Felt Creations.
Don’t go thinking that toys is all that O.B Designs sells though. No, to top it all off they sell a beautifully designed story book called ‘Bill the Fish’, children’s music cds and a unique selection of illustrated cards and gift tags printed on 100% recycled paper.. My favourite card design is the ‘Girl Evie’ one as I really like her wild, curly hair and her much loved scruffy teddy bear.
The website is really fun to browse as each soft toy has it’s own character profile in the product description. Go and take a look…. I told you they were fun. 🙂

Even though O.B Designs is based in Australia they are more than willing to ship any of their products to you in the UK or elsewhere.  They do have some UK distributors but for more information on prices or a list of UK stockists please contact them at info@obdesigns.net.
