Review of Bagabook…The Perfect Gift for Book Lovers.

Classic Bagabook in Black Croc

If you are looking for a Christmas gift for a book lover then you have come to the right place! I am now about to review the fantastic ‘Bagabook‘.

The Bagabook is kind of like a handbag for your reading book. It’s a very clever invention and so unique. The idea is that the book slips into the Bagabook and then you carry the book bag by the handle.

I was sent the stunning black patent version of the Bagabook and I gave it to my best friend who absolutely loves to read. I knew the moment I saw this product on the net that this would make a perfect gift for my friend. I approached Susan Doha, Founder of Bagabook, about the possibility of her sending me one to review and I was delighted when she said yes! I was allowed to take my pick from her selection on the site and without a shadow of a doubt I just knew I had to pick the black patent one as it just looked so classy and sophisticated.  -Please can I add the note that the polka dot and floral versions of the Bagabook were not out when I made my selection. I mention this because it would have been very hard to have stopped myself picking one of those for myself.!!!Sorry best friend…but you and I both know it’s true! *smile* Although I don’t really have a use for a Bagabook as I hardly ever find 5 minutes to read (wish I could though) so it has all been for the best that my friend got to test out the Bagabook in the end.

The bag came nicely presented with a cardboard sleeve around the body of the bag stating all the usual info. I was very impressed with the quality of the workmanship and the croc effect of the bag was very eye-catching.  The handle length is just right for tucking your arm through to keep the bag close to your body. Equally it is the perfect length to hold it in the typical ‘handbag’ style of just holding on to it and carrying it along.
The inside of the Bagabook features a unique inner support which will fit a variety of different book sizes. The bag could also be used with a diary or a notepad…it doesn’t just have to be for reading books. There is also a handy pen holder, ribbon bookmark and a travelcard pocket.
The bag measures 22 x 17.5 x 3cm deep but the depth will vary depending on the thickness of the book used in the case.

I received the Classic version of the Bagabook but it is also available in an Executive version or a Junior version.  My personal favourite is the Classic one as it looks so similar to a handbag and thus is very feminine.  I am also very impressed with Susan’s new idea of a Junior version which features space for 6 colouring pens. Any child would love to receive one of those Juniour Bagabooks, a pack of pens and a drawing pad to fit the case as a Christmas present.

My friend loved the Bagabook and she is even more impressed with it because I managed to find her a present which she never even knew existed. Now that must make me a great friend really. 🙂

She thinks it’s a great idea and she definitely agrees with me that this would make the perfect gift for someone who loves to read.

The only improvements I would like to see is the travel card pocket to be made ‘transparent’ so you can just flash your card and not have to remove it from the pocket and also to extend the range and styles of the Junior Bagabook to have more unisex designs available.
The Classic bag which I have reviewed costs £18.95 and to be absolutely honest , even though I am quite a stingy person, I don’t think that it too bad a price for such a unique gift that will not only be appreciated by the recipient but will also be very handy for when they are travelling on public transport with their book in hand. But….here’s the great news…Susan is offering all the readers of My Mummy Reviews a fabulous 25% discount until the 31st December if you use the code my25off.  You know what that means…you can buy one as a gift and you can afford to treat yourself too!
