I am so pleased to bring you this sponsored feature about a new company called Piccolo Bambino.co.uk. Emily Surash is the mumpreneur behind the company and after having corresponded with her by email for a few days I have found her to be a very friendly lady. She started Piccolo Bambino back in the middle of 2011 as she had found that the working pattern of her old job just didn’t fit in with her family life. As a mum of two little kids, Emily really wanted to find a job that would allow her to continue to spend time looking after and having fun with her little ones. She didn’t leave finding this ‘perfect job’ up to chance….. instead she started her own business so she would be certain that she had a fulfilling job that would allow her to still continue with the most important job of all….being a mummy.
Emily decided that the ideal business for her would be one that involved anything to do babies or children as she had the all important ‘mum’s experience’ that allowed her to look at a product and to know whether or not she thought a parent would want to buy it. She knew it was important to only sell good quality products and that is why she has personally selected only her favourite products to sell in her online baby shop.

NooNoo Ladybug Large Comfort Blanket from piccolobambino.co.uk |
The website is easy to navigate and each item has a comprehensive description accompanied with a large photo that allows you to see those all important details. I am really not keen on websites that don’t tell you much about the products as I find I spend ages scouring the net for extra info. It’s lovely to see that Emily has taken the time to make sure her website contains all the relevant info you need so that you can go ahead and make the decision there and then as to whether or not to purchase the product. No need to waste precious time searching the web for more details about the product.

Gigi The Giraffe Teething Toy by Little Alouette from piccolobambino.co.uk |
Piccolo Bambino sell all sorts of wonderful items and they can be found in the following categories:- Keepsakes, Playtime, Bedtime , Mealtime. Under the keepsake section you will find a selection of products which would be ideal as a new baby gift such as the NooNoo Ladybug Large Comfort Blanket and the Jungle Friends Mobile by Petit Collage. The Mealtime section is where you will find those essentials like bibs and children’s cutlery. I love the bright and colourful Bee Melamine plate by Skip Hop and the set of 2 organic bamboo feeding spoons by Bambu. Seeing the ‘Bambu‘ range of products in Piccolo Bambino was the first time I had heard of them. I love the idea of using organic wooden spoons to feed your little treasure. You certainly won’t have the worry that they contain BPA like you do when you use some plastic spoons. The bedtime section has some adorable baby comfort blankets that your little one can cherish for years to come. If you are looking for a toy for a baby or child then you need to browse through the Playtime section where you will find a selection of wooden toys and soft toys. Emily is very proud to be a UK stockist of such a large selection of Bajo wooden toys, Little Alouette teethers and petit collage soft toys and bamboo mobiles. She loves that the toys are so unusual and different from a lot of the toys available elsewhere, both on the net and on the high street. I must say that I have fallen in love with the the beautiful soft toys that she sells by Danish company Franck & Fischer. Here’s a photo of Folmer The Dog ….now can you blame me for loving the brand!
