My sister’s favourite was the Eton Mess Fudge Fancy and she absolutely loved it. She would highly recommend it to all of you. She loved it’s appearance, with the pink fudge on the bottom and the yummy white chocolate on the top with pieces of crumbled meringue. She said it smells gorgeous and it is sweet and creamy to eat. This is how she described it for me…
“Beautiful! As you bite into it you get the smooth, strawberry fudge and a bit of a crunch sensation from the white chocolate breaking off. It has a nice, sweet , meringue taste that melts in your mouth.”
I managed to persuade her to let me try the ‘Sticky Toffee Pudding’ Fudge fancy. I only got away with this as she is not a fan of dates and there are dates in this one! Yipee for me! This had a lovely taste and it was not as sweet as I was expecting which was great news. Both me and my sister were surprised and how filling each fudge fancy really is. We, well me in particular, could sit and eat a bag of fudge in quite a short space of time but not these Fudge Fancies. They are made to last! Some brands of fudge that you buy have a really sickly synthetic taste but you do not experience that at all with these Fudge Fancies. Michael is very proud to say that his fudge creations are made using only the best ingredients and natural flavourings. The organic dairy produce that he uses to make the fudge is sourced from a local dairy so that we can all be assured of it’s quality.
I love the ‘Pick And Mix’ nature of the website. If you take a look at the site you’ll see what I mean. You can pick and mix which fudge you have in your box or you could choose to opt for a box of Fudge Roulette (Great name!) which is assorted fudge.
My personal suggestion to Fudge Fancies for new fudge flavours to make are …Lemon Drizzle Cake, Strawberry Angel Delight and Millionaire’s Shortbread. Yum! Do you have any suggestions for the next fudge flavour? I’m sure Michael would love to hear from you if you do. He loves experimenting. He was described as the Heston Blumenthal of Fudge by Judith Lewis in her review.
A couple of years ago Michael decided to leave his job as a plasterer to become a confectioner making and selling this delicious luxury fudge that you have just read about. I think it would be great if we could all support Michael in his new venture. To visit the home of gourmet fudge then click here to be taken to the Fudge Fancies website. Plus you can also find Fudge fancies on Twitter and Facebook and there is even a Fudge Fancies blog.
