I was asked by the lovely Joanna over at babatude if I would like to review something from her online children’s boutique and I jumped at the chance! The minute I spotted the ‘By Carla’ polka dot blanket on the site I was eager for Joanna to agree that I could review it and you have no idea how delighted I was when she said YES!
The blanket costs £19.99 and it would make the most amazing gift for a baby or child. It is a luxury blanket and an affordable price. You could either purchase it as a new baby gift or with the festive season upon us it would be perfect as a 1st Christmas Gift for a baby. Please don’t think the blanket is only for babies though…my daughter is 3 and she loves this blanket. It measures 100cm x 7ocm and it is the perfect size for laying over her on the sofa or for tucking her in the pushchair with when she is too tired to walk.
I am a huge polka dot fan, which you may have guessed from the background to my site, and this reversible polka dot blanket is just up my street. I have always dressed my daughter in polka dots and I wish so much that I had been able to find a blanket like this when my daughter was a newborn. Believe me , I looked everywhere for a warm, snuggly polka dot blanket like this but to no avail.
I am however so happy that I have now found the most beautiful child’s blanket ever…all thanks to babatude for stocking it and offering it to me for review. If she hadn’t contacted me about a review I may never have found this blanket.
The blanket is made by a UK company called ‘By Carla’ and babatude are one of their stockists. They not only make this wonderful polka dot blanket but also some rather gorgeous stripey blankets, plain colour blankets and even supersoft rugs.
I always keep my review products after I have reviewed them but believe me when I say there is nobody that could part me or my daughter from this blanket! I just would not let anyone have it as it is so lovely. My little girl takes it everywhere with her…on outings, to nanny’s house, on holiday, etc.
The chenille is super soft and it washes like a dream. At first I put off washing the blanket as I was scared the washing machine might ruin it but then when it fell off the buggy and under the wheels …I had no choice! I did it on a 30°C wash and it came out as good as new. All the mud stains came out and I was very impressed by that.
You know there are some things that belong to your kids that you will never part with…well this blanket is one of those items. Once my daughter has outgrown it I shall either store it away with her other keepsakes but it is more likely I shall nick it and keep it for myself. :o)
Babatude has designed a new web page on their online gift boutique called ‘Christmas Gift Ideas‘ and it is well worth a look. My top 3 picks from the feature are:-
- Merci Maman Personalised Star Charm Necklace – £39.00 (I can vouch for how fab these are as I have a Merci Maman bracelet which I reviewed on this site.)
- Personalised Polka Dot Christmas Stocking by Lullaby Linen – £32.00
- Daddy Pine Tree And Baby Pine Cone T-shirt Set by Twisted Twee – £32.00
Babatude is an online baby gift shop that you really must visit if you are looking for a thoughtful and unique gift this Christmas. Joanna stocks some fantastic products such as baby blankets, children’s toys and wall stickers by designers that include Butterscotch Blankees, Dolls & Dirt and Anne Taylor Designs (I reviewed one of her products on my site when I first started My Mummy Reviews). If you are looking for a bargain make sure to check out the sale page.
So in conclusion I am very happy with the service I received from babatude. Delivery was fast and the blanket was well packed. The website is very easy to navigate and I am a big fan of the simple white background on the site as it allows you to focus fully on the beauty of the products on display on Joanna’s site.
Babatude I mark you as A* from My Mummy Reviews! Please make sure to visit the babatude boutique this Christmas.
