*This is a sponsored post about the BT Sport Relief Challenge.
I am sure many of you remember, as I do, watching TV personality Davina McCall setting herself the challenge of finding a date for someone in the 1998 – 2001 dating show ‘Streetmate’ and then for the last 10 years we have seen from the Garnier Nutrisse hair dye adverts (that she appears in) that she has gloriously overcome the challenge of having grey hairs …..but 2014 brings Davina’s biggest challenge EVER!!!
From February 8th through til February 14th she has been pushing herself to the limit by taking part in the BT Sport Relief Challenge: Davina – Beyond Breaking Point. She has just one aim….to make as much money as possible for Sport Relief!
Davina is 46 years old and she is an inspirational woman who, by later on this afternoon, will have spent 7 days swimming, cycling and running 500 miles from Edinburgh to London, all under her own steam. Can you imagine going through that ordeal!!! I can tell you now that I do not think I could endure walking 50 miles – let alone running, swimming and cycling 500 miles!
I urge you all to take a moment to tweet her a supportive message and encourage her on with her marathon that she is doing this morning. It starts at 7.45am outside Windsor Castle and as long as everything goes as planned she should finish it at approx. 4pm at the Tate Modern, London. Please use the hashtag #Davina with your message. Some chosen messages will be displayed on the Wall Of Support which is the place you need to visit to be able to follow Davina’s journey and see exclusive up to date photos, videos & facts.
Best of luck completing your challenge Davina!! I know you can do it! :o)

Another way you can help Davina with her fundraising efforts for Sports relief is by calling BT’s Speaking Clock (dial 123 from your phone – calls cost 36.6p from a BT landline) , up until the 23rd March 2014 and listening to Davina tell you the exact time! For every call made to the BT Speaking clock from a BT landline (from 27th January to the 23rd March), BT have pledged to donate 10p to Sport Relief.
Another amazing way BT promised to help Davina raise funds for Sports Relief was by declaring 13th February 2014 ‘Dial For Davina’ day. They said they would kindly donate 1p to Sport Relief for every call made from a BT home phone line, BT business line as well as every call made from a BT payphone.
I just want to say a massive thank you and well done to Davina for putting herself through such a grueling challenge all in aid of raising money for Sports Relief. Another big thanks goes to BT for posing the challenge to her and for pledging so much fundraising through your ‘Davina Speaking Clock’ and your ‘Dial For Davina’ day.
