Review Of The Lego Movie – Fantastic Film For All The Family To Watch!

lego movie reviewIf you are looking for a fun film for all the family to watch then please take a look at The Lego Movie. I now have the movie in my DVD collection as Suppose.com kindly sent it to me for review. Before getting the DVD I had very mistakenly thought that the film would be a bit boring and only really suitable for kids…but I was so wrong and I don’t mind admitting it! I absolutely loved the movie. It was enjoyable to watch, really funny and an amazing film. However I can’t bear to think about the amount of hours of work that must have gone into making a movie entirely of LEGO!

Here is a synopsis of the movie :-

The LEGO Movie follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. Emmet (Chris Pratt) is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which he is hopelessly and hilariously under prepared.

My daughter had wanted this DVD since it was first released but I had put off buying it as I thought she would watch it once and then that would be it…it would be put at the back of the shelf and not watched again. Seems I was quite wrong…she has already watched it loads and loves it. She keeps telling everybody about it and is even planning a LEGO party round my mum’s house so that nanny and grandad can watch it too. Apparently we will be having snacks, nibbles and a LEGO shaped cake which she wants us to make. 🙂 Should be fun!

I asked my daughter what were her favourite bits of the movie. She found it hard to choose as she liked all of it – but here a few of the bits she thought stood out for her:-

“I liked it when Emmett rode the motorbike in the movie. It was funny because Lucy said he was the special and he wasn’t really. He didn’t now how to drive the bike and nearly crashed it. Oh oh!”

“I loved the bit when they were all on the sky scraper settee”

” I really enjoyed the last bit of the movie when Emmett was moving across the table but he didn’t want to man to see him”

“I think the song for the movie is great.!……(then she goes on to sing ‘Everything is Awesome!”

The Lego Movie ReviewI really cannot stress enough to you that not only the kids will love The LEGO Movie – you will too! It has a sense of real adventure, special effects, sheer genius in the way the LEGO characters move/act/speak and most importantly there is a storyline throughout with a real moral – which is revealed at the end. You must see it!
