Review Of Luxury Handmade Toiletries From Hartpury Soap Company – Artisan Soap and Himalayan Bath Salts

Hartpury soap companyA few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be sent a bar of luxury handmade soap and a pretty little bottle of Pink Himalayan Bath Salts , both in the sweet and spicy ‘Orange & Ginger’ fragrance.

The soap is £4.00 and the small bottle of bath salts is enough for 3 or 4 baths but I’m not sure of the price as this smaller size bottle is normally available as a unique wedding / party favour. You can however buy a 250g bottle of the Himalayan Bath Salts and that costs £12.00.

The bath products were sent to me by Kim ( Fab name! Says me, a fellow Kim!) from Hartpury Soap Company. We got chatting on twitter and she said she would send me a couple of her toiletries to review. I was delighted as the products she makes look so lovely!

Hartpury Soap Company is based in Gloucestershire and everything is handmade. Kim uses only the finest, natural ingredients and she doesn’t use palm oil in her products. All the bath and soap products she sells are free from SLS , Parabens , SLES , Phthalates and other nasties and the products are NEVER tested on animals.  The ingredients used in the products mean they are suitable for vegetarians and vegans to use.

Hartpury soap company reviewWherever possible Hartpury Soap Company uses recycled and recyclable materials in the packaging of their products.  You can see from the photo at the top of the page that the gorgeous Himalayan bath salts come in a little glass bottle with a cork and orange/brown striped Jane Means designer ribbon trim. It is wrapped in kraft paper and packaged in a cardboard box. The artisan soap comes wrapped in natural greaseproof paper (which can be recycled) and is embellished with a brown ribbon bow.

Hartpury Soap Company are very proud to be members of the Guild of Soap and Toiletry Makers and all of their products have been safety tested by a cosmetic chemist to confirm that they comply with current EU legislation.

I have to say that I am not normally a huge fan of Ginger fragranced products but I was rather taken by the soap and bath salts that Kim sent me. It was just the right mix of scents – sweetness from the orange and warm spice from the Ginger.  The fragrance is not too overpowering and in my opinion it would be suitable for both ladies or men. The soap is wonderful on your skin and I love the addition of the calendula petals.  The products get their scent by the use of essential oils of both Ginger and Orange.

The handmade cold-pressed soaps and Himalayan Bath Salts are also available in plenty of other fragrances. You can choose from the following :-

  • Lavender & Lime
  • Patchouli & Geranium
  • Patchouli & Orange
  • Purity – Unscented Soap (Not available in bath salts)
  • Rosemary & Lime (Not available in bath salts)
  • Tea Tree & Eucalyptus
  • Tea Tree & Lime
  • Vetiver & Lavender

Don’t they all sound divine! As well as the Orange & Ginger which I was sent to review I also love the sound of Patchouli & Orange and Lavender & Lime…..what about you?

Hartpury soap company reviewYou will see in the photo above that Hartpury Soap Company sell some beautiful gift boxes with different products in.  These would make an amazing birthday or wedding gift for somebody or as we are getting so close to March, how about treating your mum to a toiletry gift box for Mother’s Day on March 15th. You can choose from the Pamper Box, the Tootsie Gift Box, the Cleopatra Gift Box and the Relax Gift Box. The details of the contents of each box can be seen in the photo below.

The Pamper Box sounds like the ultimate treat for mum! It is £35.00 but with the code MOTHERSDAY you can get £10% off this price. The code is only valid until midnight on the 14th March 2015. This code should work on all the products on the website but as some products are made to order (such as the pamper box) you may need to get in contact with Kim to discuss your requirements and place your order.
