When we found out that my sister was expecting a baby the lovely Liz from Fluffy Duckling Knits offered to send her an adorable hand knitted baby gift set for us to review on my blog.

We accepted her kind offer and she sent my sister the Rowan Gift Set which contains a hand-knitted pair of baby booties and a matching hat.  My sister absolutely loved the set and they were the first hand knitted baby garments that she had received for ‘bump’,

Oh….it is ever so cute! These two beautiful little handmade items will be put to good use when my new little nephew is here. 🙂 The hat is nice and snuggly , as are the booties…so we know that little one will be warm and cosy when wearing these.

When we Liz asked which colour we would like of the Rowan gift set we had the choice of Cream, Glacier and Pebble.  We went for cream because at the time we were unaware my sister was having a little boy but also because cream is a lovely neutral colour. This means that once the new little baby has grown out of them they can be put out of the way for safe keeping in case they are ever needed again!

The quality of Liz’s knitting is amazing! The booties and hat have been made to an extremely high standard and they came packaged in a sweet little organza drawstring bag with a handmade ‘Fluffy Duckling Knits’ hang-tag on them.

The booties have little beads on the ties which look so lovely. They really add to the luxury feel of this set.

This is truly a stunning gift for someone that is having or has just had a baby and it is obvious that a lot of love, care and attention has gone into making this set!

Liz has been knitting for 30 years and this definitely shows when you look at her handiwork. The knitted items she sent my sister are a made of a luxurious yarn which is 50% cotton and 50% bamboo and the knitting is so neat and tidy.  These are super soft and will be very gentle against baby’s skin.

We can’t wait for the new arrival to get to wear them!
