I am part of The Orchard Programme for Tesco which means on occasion I get to receive free vouchers to try food for free or for less money.
Recently I took part in their Fresh Fish programme and received a £4 voucher to be used against Fresh Fish in their store.
I’ll be honest here I had no idea what I was going to buy with the voucher! I’m not really a huge fan of fresh fish ….battered fish from the chip shop – Yes! , smoked salmon sandwiches – Yes! but not fish that I have to cook at home. Anyhow , I headed to Tesco to see what I could get and then I realised that the voucher said I could get pre-packed fresh fish so I went for my favourite …..Smoked Salmon.
I normally go for the big 300g packs containing large slices of smoked salmon but as it is a fairly expensive fish I don’t have it too often…just as a treat. This time I thought I’d have a change and I got 2 packs of the 100g pack of smoked salmon slices for sandwiches. Each pack was £3 and I had a £4 voucher – so I just paid £2 for the two packs.
The smoked salmon was great quality with no nasty black bits in it. It was in novel square slices – perfect for putting inside my sandwich and most importantly, it tasted delicious!
I had the smoked salmon in brown bread sandwiches with a helping of soft cheese, a few squeezes of lemon juice and a sprinkle of black pepper, Yum!
I highly recommend! You can order it online here —> http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=253048585
