My sister and her partner are absolutely giraffe mad! They both love them and have loads of giraffe toys and gifts for their new little baby, my 4 month old nephew. When I saw that Michaela over at Word Memories makes Giraffe Design Word Art pictures I fell in love with them. I knew that one of her artworks would be the ultimate new baby gift for someone who loves giraffes!
The lovely Michaela said that she would love to be featured on my blog so she was ever so kind and prepared a personalised word cloud artwork for my sister. She also said she could offer a £30 gift voucher for a giveaway on my blog! Find out how to enter the competition at the end of this review 🙂
I toyed with the idea of not telling my sister about the Giraffe Word Art coming her way – so it would be a surprise – but this would have meant picking the words for the design myself and I just knew it wouldn’t be as personal and have as much sentimental value if my sister had no input in the words in the artwork.
I’m glad I told my sister about the design as she picked some fantastic words to be included in the Giraffe Word Art. She went for her son’s name, date of birth and descriptive words etc. She had so much fun thinking up words to be included in the design!
Once a list of words was finalised I emailed them over to Michaela and she set about arranging them into the Giraffe shaped design that we had chosen. Don’t go thinking that it is just giraffe shaped word art that she makes! There are many other shaped designs available including shoes, cars, other animals. flowers and ballet dancers etc.
When the words had been suitably arranged into the shape of a giraffe, I received an email from Michaela that had attached to it a ‘proof copy’ of the design so we could give our approval before she went ahead and produced the design and had it framed.
The photo below is an example of what the word cloud proof would look like ( This example is taken from her website ) :-
When we received the proof email we were very happy with how the words had been arranged so we gave our approval and then straight away Word Memories set about creating our unique artwork for the wall.
The word art design was digitally printed onto linen card stock using long-lasting inks and then once it was complete it was framed in a small white box frame (23x23cms), complete with white mount and a matching colour gem in the corner of the mount, to co-ordinate with the colour of the words.
The final appearance of the finished design is wonderful! When my sister received it in the post she was over the moon! The Word Memories artwork had been expertly packaged so it wouldn’t get damaged in the post and the packaging did indeed do its job… the Personalised Word Art arrived safe and sound with my sister! Thank you so , so much Michaela. You are a star!
My sister was thrilled with her gift from Word Memories and she wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the artworks to you all! The design she received costs £30 plus £6.325 P&P and I would say it is worth every penny because of the bespoke, personalised nature of the product. It is a treasured keepsake and the word art acts as a snapshot of time because of the words that have been used in it – bouncing, sleeping, cuddles.
These Word Memories artworks are amazing and Michaela is very talented to be able to design such lovely gifts.
You can buy your own bespoke word art here —> wordmemories.wordpress.com/
There are also Word Art Mugs available to buy – priced at only £12.50 with £2.95 P+P. These too look like a fantastic gift! There are so many possibilities of occassions to give these personalised mugs to people as gifts. they would be great for Birthdays, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Christmas….and the list goes on!
After you have visited the Word Memories website please can you also pop by and follow them on twitter and Facebook. Thank you. 🙂
Now….it’s Giveaway Time!
The prize is a £30 voucher to be spent in the Word Memories web shop. That could get you a small box framed word art , like my sister’s Giraffe word art – although you have free reign to choose your own £30 design from the website or instead you could choose to spend the voucher on other gifts instead such as Word Art Mugs or put it towards a bigger design Word Art and pay the difference. Please note the gift voucher doesn’t cover postage so you will need to pay that yourself. P+P varies depending on what you order.
The competition is open to UK based entrants only and the paper gift voucher can either be posted to you (maybe you’d like to give it to someone as a gift?) or if you win you can email Michaela to arrange the voucher value being applied to your order.
The competition opens today – 12th December 2015 and will end at 11.59pm on the 12th January 2016. After this time the winner will be drawn randomly using the Gleam competition app.
The competition is being run in collaboration with Word Memories and they are responsible for posting out the gift voucher to the winner. I am afraid I accept no responsibility for sending the prize to you. However I will do my utmost to make sure you receive your prize by promptly passing on your email address to Michaela at Word Memories so that she can get in touch with you to get your address for the voucher delivery. Plus if you contact me to chase-up the gift voucher delivery I will get in touch with her to try and see what has happened.
