My sister adores Stags and so you can imagine how delighted she was to receive this amazing ‘Stag’s Head‘ Cutout art for review from Lian Nicholson at Crafty Foxx.
There were 2 other Stag designs I could have chosen for her – Proud Stag or Leaping Stag – but I thought she would like the Stag’s Head one best.
I was able to choose the backing fabric/paper for the design from a selection of the Crafty Foxx site and I opted for a wonderful Harris Tweed (Orange and Purple) fabric. I knew she would love the ‘Country’ look of that kind of fabric as my sister is a big fan of Joules which uses a lot of tweed fabrics in their clothing collections. There are other colours of Harris Tweed backing fabric available for the cutout art and you can see them in the photo below :-
If Harris Tweed isn’t your preferred choice of backing for the Stag’s Head cutout art then Lian offers plenty of other designs to choose from! Here is a small selection of the backing designs available:-
If you still don’t manage to find the exact kind of backing design that you are after then Lian can work with you to find the perfect backing. You can find out more under the Bespoke section of her website.
The Stag’s Head cutout artwork was handmade and framed for my sister before being sent out to me in a well packaged box. It was extremely well protected for its travels and it served it well as when it arrived it was in perfect condition! P&P is free on orders within the UK but if you would like a Crafty Foxx item sending outside of the UK then you must contact Lian on info@craftyfoxx.com to get a postage quote.
The artwork came with a protective film over it to protect the high quality acrylic glazing (safer alternative to glass) and the frame was handmade using fine quality wood.
The Stag’s head design had been cut out of a pale blue mount board and the cutout design looked stunning with the Harris Tweed backing. I couldn’t wait to give the artwork to my sister ….I’d organised the Crafty Foxx review as a surprise! 🙂
…Thankfully I had picked well. My sister absolutely loved the cutout art by Lian at Crafty Foxx! She thought I had picked the perfect design and backing fabric.
It was hard to know which design to choose for my sister when there were so many to choose from on the website. The designs are all divided into different categories and they are as follows –>
Wise Words/Positive Vibes,
Animals Of The World,
Birds & Bees,
Country Life,
Down In The Field,
Equestrian,
Fairy-Tastic,
Jurassic Art,
Story Time,
The Sky’s The Limit,
Let’s Go To The Seaside,
Wild, Wild West.
As I said…… so many possible designs to choose from! 😀
Here are 4 of my Crafty Foxx favourites…
They are Giraffe Mother & Baby, Dream Big Little One, Fancy Mr-Fox and Fairy Magic.
The prices vary between each design as you can choose to have them in different sizes and with or without a frame. As a rough guide prices start at £18.00 for a 25.3 cm x 25.3 cm (small) unframed piece and go up to £50.00 for a 33 cm x 33 cm (medium) framed piece. Large size framed 43 x 43cm exclusive designs start at £65.00 for the ‘Hummingbirds & Flowers‘ design and go up to £130.00 for the Extra Large 48 cm x 48cm framed ‘Circular Butterflies’ design. I’d like to say a huge thank you to Lian for gifting this Stag’s Head design to my sister and also for being so lovely as to say she will donate some of her older designs to the wonderful EACH – East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices. What a wonderful thing to do! Thanks again Lian. 🙂 I know that EACH will appreciate your kindness, as do I.
EACH are a Norfolk based charity that support families, children and young people (From babies to young people up to the age of 18) living with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement. They do this through a range of services delivered where the family wish – in their own home, at hospital, in the community or at one of our their three hospices in Milton, Ipswich and Quidenham.
I am in the process of asking companies to gift products which I can donate to the charity so if you are reading this and your company would like to donate something please contact me on kim@mymummyreviews.com. Thank you.
Very interesting review! Have you ever thought about the framed cork board like this https://www.corkstore24.co.uk/shop/78-framed-cork-boards/ ? Thanks to its properties, cork is an ecological and practical decoration which allows you to easily stick pins in it and display important information, photos or notes. There are many vivid colours available, so the board will match every room perfectly!
