I was gifted some credit so that I could review some of their cards on my site and it took me SOOoooo long to choose which cards to order! I kept making my mind up then seeing another one I liked, then changing one card in my basket for another until I made my final decision! 🙂
Love by Silvia Betancourt
These cards were all £2.99 each plus postage to be paid for a 1st class stamp.
I could have ordered each card seperately and had them sent directly to the card recipient but instead I chose to have them sent to me so I could photograph them for this blog post.
I’m glad I did as it let me see the quality of the cards and I was very impressed!
You don’t have to shop online at www.thortful.com, you could instead download the app from the Google Play Store or from the Apple App Store. The advantage of ordering your cards via this method is that you can actually write your own handwritten message and then scan it into the app and then your own handwriting will be used in the card that you send! Also, in app, you can not only save key dates but also schedule card deliveries for future dates.
This explains a little bit more about thortful (it is from their ‘About Us‘ page on their website) :-
“thortful is a creative card marketplace supporting a community of designers, illustrators and photographers who create beautiful, unique greeting cards (most of which you won’t find on the high street!). We believe that our creators should be appropriately rewarded for their creative talents, so we pay them an industry-leading royalty rate too – they deserve nothing less!”
It is now the time of year when we have some great card-giving occasions – there is Halloween, Christmas and New Year. Plus , of course, I’m sure you know plenty of friends and family that will be celebrating a Birthday, Anniversary, Wedding or the arrival of a New Baby!
thortful have cards that are perfect for all of these events and special occasions!
Also as October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, thortful have been working with their creatives to produce a range of cliché-free empathy cards and they have pledged to donate 100% of the profit to the charity Breast Cancer Haven. Now to get back to the greeting cards I ordered…… the Fish Whisperer Card was for my Dad’s birthday as he loves to go fishing. I was so pleased to find this card on the thortful website as it was perfect for him! The photo below is the drawing that my daughter did in his card. He loved the card and the drawing. Dandelion Stationery has some fantastic designs to choose from! Take a look –> https://www.thortful.com/creator/dandelion
The Cromer Pier Photograph Card was for my Aunty. She loves Cromer Pier and always goes to the shows that they put on each year. It was the ideal card for her and she really appreciated the thortful thought! Gary Rayner has captured an amazing moment of time in his photo and it shows Cromer Pier standing serenely above the choppy Cromer waves! I am delighted he chose to upload this design onto the thortful website as it meant I had the opportunity to order it for my Aunty – who loved the card! The Stag Design Card With ‘LOVE’ Text was for my Sister as she loves everything with stags on and so I knew she’d love to have this card. I think she has intentions of framing it to put on the wall. The card is a print of a beautifully watercolour painted design by Silvia Betancourt. I love how the card is suited to so many occasions. The majority of the cards are £2.99 each plus you have to pay the additional postage for a 1st class stamp. If you order by 2pm the card can be posted out that same day!
