The lovely team over anyone4tea.com kindly gifted me a selection of their Xylotreat products which are sweetened with Xylitol rather than sugar. I have tried a couple of the items and the rest I have put aside to give to my auntie’s friend who is diabetic as I know she will appreciate me giving these products to her. It can be a struggle for her to find diabetic friendly items so she is sure to love these Xylotreat treats!
These jams, marmalades and sauces are all sweetened with xylitol which is described as a natural sweetener with no aftertaste. These products are all classed as suitable for diabetics because of the lack of sugar.
They sent me the following products:
- Xylotreat Rhubarb & Ginger Jam
- Xylotreat Tomato Ketchup
- Xylotreat Brown Sauce
- Xylotreat Orange & Grapefruit Marmalade
- Xylotreat Sweet Chilli Jam
- Xylotreat Passata Sauce
The products sent to me are all £4.25 each except for the marmalade and jam which are £4.99 each.My daughter liked the tomato ketchup and it is good to know that it has less sugar than the usual brand I buy for her in the supermarket. It does taste different to the usual tomato ketchup I buy as it isn’t as thick but it is even more tomatoey and tangy. We tried it with a hot cheese and onion roll and it was perfect for dipping the yummy pastry treat into!
The Tomato Ketchup can be ordered online here >> https://anyone4tea.com/product/xylotreat-tomato-ketchup/
I tried the Sweet Chilli Jam with a tasty helping of fried halloumi cheese. This condiment has a chutney like consistency and texture. It was a great accompaniment to the halloumi and I think it would also be great in a cheddar cheese sandwich etc.
You can’t currently order this product on their website but I’m certain that if you get in touch with them they will let you know when it will next be in stock. You can email them on enquiries@anyone4tea.com or call +44 (0) 1428 609922
It can be difficult to find sauces, jams and chutneys that don’t include a hefty amount of sugar in their ingredient list so I think it is fantastic that Xylotreat have taken the initiative to produce these products with xylitol rather than sugar. This means that these products are perfect for people who are diabetic or who are following a calorie-controlled diet such as Slimming World or Weight Watchers.
I’d like to say thank you to the Xylotreat team for sending me these products to feature on my blog. If you would like to purchase any of them head to www.anyone4tea.com/xylotreat/
It would be fantastic if you could take a moment to follow Xylotreat on social media. You can find them on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
