Fiona over at meandmycar got in touch with me via twitter to see if I fancied receiving some of their WHEELS chocolate bars with motor themed packaging to feature on my blog as an alternative Easter gift idea. I tweeted straight back and said ‘Yes please’ as I had the perfect person in mind who I wanted to give some of the chocolate to….. my cousin!
My cousin works with cars, his hobby is cars and most importantly his passion is for cars. He is most definitely the target market for the WHEELS chocolate bars. 🙂
I was sent 3 bars of their chocolate and they retail in their online shop at £2.50 each which I think is great value. It is the thought that count when it comes to getting a gift for someone and if you buy a car enthusiast a bar of this WHEELS Chocolate they will know, without a doubt, that you have put some time and effort into choosing that particular bar of chocolate for them rather than buying a big brand one in the supermarket. The Belgium chocolate bars are all wrapped in silver foil packaging and then presented in cardboard packaging which has been printed with a stunning motor racing design by Belgian artist Jaak De Konick.
Last week I was going to the theatre with my cousin’s wife so when I went round to pick her up I gave my cousin his bars of WHEELS chocolate to enjoy. He had no idea that I had got these for him to ‘review/eat’ so it was lovely to see his face when he realised that the chocolate packaging had been especially designed for those that love motors. He was really impressed and I think he was looking forward to eating the chocolate when he had gone out to the theatre.
I gave him the WHEELS MILK CHOCOLATE BAR and the WHEELS MILK HAZELNUT CRUNCH CHOCOLATE BAR and I have since heard that he loved them both. The best bit is that the chocolate was affordable enough that him and his wife can buy it again for other friends and family that love cars. I am always happy when I get to feature products on my blog that are good value for money as it means that me, my friends and family and my blog readers would be able to shop with those businesses again without breaking the bank
I decided to share the WHEELS EXTRA DARK CHOCOLATE BAR (72%) with a friend of mine who loves dark chocolate as that way I could get a chocoholic’s opinion on the quality of the chocolate and I have to say she absolutely loved it! Now I’m not normally a dark chocolate fan but even I loved eating this as it wasn’t too bitter. It was just yummy! I took the photos above so that you could see what the chocolate looks like inside and outside of the silver foil packaging. ⬆
meandmycar also sell some other car themed chocolate products that would be ideal for Easter or as Father’s Day (Sunday 17 June – Don’t forget!) , Birthday or Christmas gift. The photo collage below shows you those products and the links are below :-
- WHEELS GIANT MILK CHOCOLATE BAR £8.00
- WHEELS BOX OF MILK CHOCOLATE PRALINE CARS £8.00
- WHEELS CHOCOLATE ROAD SIGNS £12.00
- BUCKET OF CHOCOLATE SPORTS CARS £16.00
All in all I am very impressed with the chocolate from meandmycar.co.uk and I like that the online shop sells the perfect gifts to buy for people that love cars and motorsport. It’s a website you will definitely want to bookmark so that you can head straight to the shop when you next need to buy a gift for a car enthusiast. 🙂 It’s obvious from looking though the shop that Fiona has put a lot of effort into sourcing the best car themed gifts and products from across the world to sell to us here in the UK. It’s not all chocolate though – there are personalised bottle stoppers, mini cars, greeting cards and more besides.
Standard postage and packing for delivery within the UK is £3.95 per order and delivery usually takes 1 to 3 working days from dispatch. They also offer the option of guaranteed next day delivery at a cost of £6.95 per order. This service is available up until 12 noon daily, Monday to Thursday for dispatch the same day. If you love classic cars and motosport I urge you to Follow meandmycar on Twitter as not only do they share photos of the products they sell but they also share some wonderful photos from motoring events that they attend throughout the year. Check out this photo they shared from Goodwood last week!
