Big Fish Little Fish Family Rave

When was the last time you went to a rave? If you are the same as me, it was probably a long, old time ago before you became a parent!

Do I miss the loud music, the hubbub of people having a good time and the  general fun of jumping and dancing around to a live DJ……the answer to that is YES!

Guess what, I have some news – I’m going to a rave in Norwich on March 2nd at Epic TV Studios but it’s a rave with a twist….. you can take kids! Sounds perfect to me! Check out the videos >> www.bigfishlittlefishevents.co.uk/videos/

I found out about Big Fish Little Fish‘s upcoming family rave on Twitter and they kindly offered me tickets to the event in return for me reviewing it afterwards.  As you can tell, I am already raving about it! (I love a good pun!) It is not often you get the opportunity to go to a rave which not only takes place in the middle of the day but that you can also attend with your children. I really can’t wait!

I am going to the rave with my 9 year old daughter and my sister and her two children. Her kiddies are 18 months old and 3 years old. On the Big Fish Little Fish website it says that Hannah, the founder of BFLF believes that everyone has the right to a good time and she then goes on to say ‘Big fish, grab your little fish and see you on the dancefloor’.  That you will Hannah! 🙂 We will be there dancing the day away!

I shall now share with you a more in-depth description of the rave, just in case I miss out telling you any important details – in all the excitement.  (The information below has been compiled from the event website >> www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/big-fish-little-fish-norwich-family-rave-with-2-bad-mice-dj-trax-tickets-51614733056)

Big Fish Little Fish Family Rave with 2 Bad Mice + DJ Trax March 2nd 2 – 4pm at EPIC TV Studios, 112-114 Magdalen Street, NR3 1JD Norwich, Norfolk

World renowned DJ`s 2 Bad Mice + DJ Trax will be playing `grown up` oldschool dance music to the family ravers. Live Percussionist Paul Fistfunk Crowley will also be performing on stage. ?

They say that the event will feature themed crafts, rave dancing stilt walker (from Twisted Bliss), giant balloons, glitter cannons, bubble machine, amazing lighting (no strobes), face painting stall and the BFLF famous parachute dance. Fancy dress – Animal Fantastical! ?

It is for families with younger children (8s and under) though older siblings are welcome. Adults are not admitted unless accompanied by a child. Each event is stewarded and risk assessed in advance. Music is monitored and played at a safe level for younger ears. ?

Each member of your group must have a ticket, adults £9.00, child £7.00 and pre-walking infants free (but still a require ticket.) Book tickets here >> www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/big-fish-little-fish-norwich-family-rave-with-2-bad-mice-dj-trax-tickets-51614733056 ?

This is a standing/dancing event with limited seating. Please contact them here >> http://www.bigfishlittlefishevents.co.uk/contact/ if you have mobility issues. ?

They say to be prepared for the event to be busy as it is a rave! (Perfect, I say! I would much prefer dancing at a packed rave than on an empty dancefloor). ?

The event is conducted indoors with limited club lighting (no strobes). ?

BFLF sets the volume lower than at normal nightclubs. While it is still loud, it is within safe limits for young ears as set out by the World Health Organisation – and it is monitored throughout the event. They say it is up to you if you want to bring ear defenders, although most parents don’t. They also say if your child is particularly sensitive to noise or if you want them to nap during the event you might want to consider bringing some. ?

It is a max of 3 children per adult and a max of 4 adults per child (and such groups must be pre-approved by emailing
infoeast@bigfishlittlefishevents.co.uk before buying tickets). ?

They  want you to be aware that they may photograph or film small parts of the event and by entering the event you are giving your permission for these photos/videos to be used for BFLF promotion purposes. ?

They say that buggies must be left in the buggy park and they will not be allowed on the dance floor. From looking at photos in the Gallery you will see that some people choose to carry their babies in a baby carrier so that may be something you want to consider. ?

I don’t think there is much else to tell you really apart from the fact that it sounds like a really fun event and as BFLF say, their family rave is a great opportunity to  ‘DANCE, LAUGH, CRAFT AND GET DAFT!’. Their family rave concept is multiple ‘award-winning‘ and I can’t wait to experience this fun , family day out for myself! Once I have been to the event I will let you all know how it was by writing a review about our first family rave experience on my blog.

Please go to https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/big-fish-little-fish-norwich-family-rave-with-2-bad-mice-dj-trax-tickets-51614733056 to book your tickets. They say on their website that many of their events sell out fast so make sure to order soon so you can avoid any disappointment.

Also, please note that tickets are non-refundable but they do say that if anybody with tickets finds they cannot attend a sold-out event to please email infoeast@bigfishlittlefishevents.co.uk and they will attempt to put you in touch with people seeking to buy tickets for the event.
