Review of Clover Extra Wide Boots by Hotter. I love them!

extra wide winter boots

Summer is well truly gone and Autumn is here. I can’t say I mind though as it means that it’s the time of year that Hotter bring out their gorgeous Autumn Winter collection of shoes and boots.

I am a big fan of British made Hotter boots as not only are they the most comfortable footwear I have ever had the pleasure of owning but they have so many boot and shoe styles to choose from.

Last year I was lucky enough to be sent some Heaven boots to review and they are still going strong a year on but now they have to battle it out for’ foot time’ with the latest pair of Hotter boots in my shoe collection….the wide-fitting Clover boot.

I was kindly offered the Clover boots to review and I have to admit one of my favourite things about reviewing for this blog has to be the fact that I have been lucky enough to be given such comfortable shoes to try out.

The Clover boots are new this season and they are from the Hotter AW12 collection. The standard width fitting is available in Aubergine, Chocolate and Stone whereas the wide-fitting (like I received) is available in just Chocolate.

I opted for the wide-fitting boot in a size 5.5 and I made the right decision as they are just the right size. I thought they would be though as my Heaven boots were the same size. Hotter are good like that…you can actually trust the sizing. Even if you do, by chance, buy some shoes or boots and decide they are not quite the right size for you it’s not a problem. They have a 100% Happy Guarantee which means you can return them free of charge and exchange them for another size. If you decide to just return them and not buy a different size then they will refund you the price you paid for the shoes themself but they will keep £2.20 of the money to cover the return postage. I think that is very fair and it’s great to know that Hotter are not happy until the customer is.  That is the kind of company I think we all want to shop with, one that cares about it’s customers…..and their feet. :o)

review of clover boots by hotterThe Clover boots arrived wrapped in tissue paper in the signature ‘Hotter’ shoe box.  I felt just like I was opening an early Christmas present! (Thank you Hotter)

I received the boots at the beginning of September and I have worn them regularly since they arrived. I even took them with me when I went abroad as I knew they would be ultra comfy for my feet when I was walking long distances. I love how fashionable the boots are! They are just so stylish and I feel like I’m really bang on-trend when I wear these boots out and about.

The boots are made of suede and they have the most gorgeous faux fur collar which is so unbelievable silky soft to the touch. The boots are pull on, so no fiddly zips to do up. They are nice and wide which means you can tuck your trousers into them if you’d like to. On a few occasions I have teamed these up with tan coloured straight leg chinos tucked into them and a matching chocolate brown top and even though I say so myself…I thought I looked rather fashionable…which makes a change!. :o)

The boots have an ultra-light sole that is cushioned by millions of air bubbles and this is why the boots are such a dream to walk in.

The boots are not cheap at £79.00 but as they say ‘You get what you pay for’ and with these shoes that is very true.

hotter 100% happy guarantee

You are paying a higher price and for that you get an above average boot. You get a boot made by British Craftsmen from top quality materials and above all else…you get a pair of boots that will be so comfortable to wear you just will not want to take them off!

I am always honest in my reviews on this blog and I pride myself on saying exactly what I think about products. The truth is that yes these boots are more money than what I usually pay but they are also way more comfortable to wear than any shoe or boot I’ve ever bought. I can’t even compare them to any other shoe in my collection as I don’t have any that are as comfy on my feet as the Heaven and Clover boots. Before receiving my Clover boots I was still wearing my Heaven boots nearly every day…even right through the summer as they were just so easy to slip on and easy to walk in when shopping or going on days out.  Both the Clover and Heaven Hotter boots are perfect as stylish Autumn Winter footwear. They look great with trousers, dresses or a skirt and because of the faux fur trim on both of them they are super trendy and everyone will be envious of you when they see them on your feet..

Hotter currently have an online discount code which you can use to get £5 off your order and free delivery. The code is MGEFPF. If you decide to splash the cash and treat yourself this Christmas to two pairs of Hotter boots (I personally recommend the Heaven and Clover boots) then that same code entitles you to another £20 off when buying 2 pairs of boots. That is quite a saving! I’m not sure when the Hotter discount code expires but you can find out more here or call customer services.

If you prefer to not order your shoes by mail order then why not pop along to your local Hotter store and try their boots and shoes on instore.
